Senior Lead Data Engineer

Key Accountability: • Assist with technical design and development activities for implementation of large-scale data solutions in Snowflake • Support design and development of technology and data architectures to support client solutions leveraging best practices for cloud data warehouse migrations • Developing ETL pipelines in and out of data warehouse using leading ETL tools and Snowflakes Snow SQL • Writing SQL queries against Snowflake • Implement data pipelines and modern ways of automating ELT data pipelines using advanced SQL • Translate requirements for BI and Reporting to Database design and reporting design • Understanding data transformation and translation requirements and which tools to leverage to get the job done • Understanding data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipelines • Testing and clearly document implementations, so others can easily understand the requirements, implementation, and test conditions Key Competencies: • Total Years of Experience 8 years in IT industry • 5 years current and deep experience with Cloud Data platform implementation • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures. • Hands on experience Designing and developing Data Pipelines for Data Ingestion or Transformation using Python (PySpark)/Spark SQL • Relevant years of experience in ETL tools like (SnowPipe, StreamSets, Matillion, Informatica, Talend and Apache Airflow etc.) • Very strong on SQL on any Database with Performance tuning tweaks, Good Exposure to Data Model, Stored procedure and Advanced functions • Proven experience in implementing & executing projects using Snowflake • Proficient in identifying, analyzing and solving problems • Knowledge of Data warehousing and its components. STAR and Snowflake Schema, Dimension, Fact and Measures • Experience in Cloud data migration patterns • Agile methodology experience essential • 3 years’ experience assessing feasibility of migrating customer solutions and/or integrating with 3rd party systems both Microsoft and non-Microsoft platforms • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
