Role: AWS Cloud Architect

Functional Area: Digital Infrastructure

Employment Type: Full Time

Location:  Remote


The Opportunity:

Overall, 10 yrs. of application experience with minimum 5 years of good hand-on experience with AWS services related to computing, network, storage, content delivery, security, deployment, and automation. Extensive knowledge on various AWS services Expert level experience in writing infrastructure as code using CloudFormation/Terraform. Experience in AWS Native DevOps CI/CD components

Role and & responsibilities

  • Hands on experience using version control systems like SVN, and GIT.
  • Good knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes Services, and Micro services design
  • Provide hands on technical support for business applications and processes. Balance of strategic and tactical skills and the ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Must understand networking, security, design principles and best practices in cloud
  • Expertise in articulating architectural choices to various AWS services and solution methodologies
  • Ability to define requirements, write proposals, and deliver against SOW scopes and requirements
  • Proven Client management skills, including conflict resolution, scope management, engagement management • Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Solution Architecture experience
  • Experience with leading cloud platforms across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS services and solutions
  • Experience with major cloud providers including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 providers
  • Experience with portfolio analysis and workload migration
  • Experienced with legacy application migration automation tools from Cloud providers and 3rd parties
  • Deep experience with application modernization
  • Hands-on experience with leading virtualization platforms
  • Experience with containers, container orchestration, APIs and microservices is essential
  • Experienced with application modernization and Cloud migrations
  • Anchor and lead Cloud engagements by providing technical and business insights to Client projects.
  • Be able to lead Cloud Strategy engagements, Cloud technology and architecture efforts, Cloud deployments, as well as Cloud migrations and portfolio migrations to the Cloud
  • Lead the design, planning and implementation of complex IT infrastructure solutions
  • Work closely with the client to establish Cloud migration roadmaps and priorities
  • Perform application portfolio analysis to identify candidate applications and workloads for migration to the Cloud
  • Establish detailed Cloud migration project plans, and execute against them
  • Support business development and proposal work
  • Verify technical feasibility and validate solution options for the requirements
  • Fluent English language skills a must
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Good understanding of the full software development life cycle
  • Experience in delivering against tight timelines
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter, and can management an engagement from pre-sales and kick-off to close out or, preferably, upsell or extension
  • IT strategy experience for planning migrations to public or hybrid clouds including program planning and costing
  • Experience of delivering complete enterprise Cloud solutions for projects
  • Solid Infrastructure architecture expertise including capacity planning, environment strategy and hosting requirements
