Technical Engagement Director Banking
Responsibilties
  • We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Engagement Director to help us expand business growth on targeted clientele. You will be at the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply effective Business Development Strategies.
  • You will be proactively involved in helping clients’ businesses to transform their traditional IT infrastructure & network foundations to support Cloud Native Platforms & Applications and migrating them to Public/Multi-Cloud.
  • Develop new business opportunities, key account management, handling corporate tie-ups and implementing/making strategies to achieve targeted sales.
  • Demonstrable application of business and commercial acumen, communicated at all levels, to show the operational impact and financial value of technological solutions.
  • Expand existing account relationships to achieve specific revenue growth. Work with marketing and inside sales teams, conduct cold calling campaigns and build professional networks to create new sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality relationships with customers, potential customers, partners, and co-workers.
  • Gather prospect requirements and participate in technical solution design. Assist in solving customer needs and issues.
  • Create and articulate well-structured solutions and proposals designed to solve unique customer needs and problems.
  • Develop professional presentations, correspondence, and responses to articulate our solutions to their problems.
  • Attend trade shows, partner training, and follow-up on direct marketing activities.
  • Remain current on industry trends, along with new products and services. This may require extensive learning of new products and or services on a quarterly or less basis.
  • Required Technical Skills
  • Demonstrated ability of 15+ years’ Technical Presales or similar experience, from within the Telco/Systems Integration/Managed Service Industry on driving Infrastructure and Network transformation projects of high complexity including Compute Virtualization & Servers, Storage Virtualization & Systems, Hybrid & Public Clouds, Datacentre Network & Security, Core WAN, SDWAN/SASE - Head office & Branch, Application Networking & Security, Wireless and Voice technologies.
  • Understand Network setups, upgrades, and migration concepts including MPLS, SD-WAN, Core-WAN, and Datacentre Fabrics.
  • Understand routers/firewalls/switches/Network-Proxies & load-balancers configuration and upgrades, VLANs, Dynamics routing (BGP/OSPF), PE/CPE, network monitoring, and management best practices.
  • Knowledge of security best practices (network/identity) and knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, CheckPoint firewalls, and a range of products.
  • Understand LAN/WAN concepts, Layer 2/Layer 3 LAN, DNS, DHCP & IPAM.
  • Understand Wireless Network Configuration/Upgrades and deployment best practices.
  • Understand Compute Server Fabrics and corresponding Virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.).
  • Understand Storage Systems and Corresponding Virtualization technologies (EMC, VSAN & Ceph, etc.).
  • Understand Hybrid and Public Clouds (OpenStack, Azure, AWS & GCP).
  • Good idea on Pivotal Application Services & OpenShift Cloud Application Platforms.
  • Knowledge of Cloud migrations including Rehost, Replatform, and Refactor.
  • Understand Automation solutions based on Ansible Tower, Python, and Terraform, etc.
  • Ability to visualize End to End Observability platform deployments.
  • Understanding IT operations, database systems, IT security, application development, SDLC, DevOps, service architecture, cloud-native application development, hosted services, storage systems, or content delivery networks.
