    Role Overview: 
  • The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. 
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. 
  •  
    Key Responsibilities: 
    Testing and Quality Assurance: 
  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and system testing. 
  • Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure software meets requirements and is free of defects. 
  • Identify, document, and track defects in defect tracking systems, working closely with development teams to resolve issues. 
  • Validate fixes and perform regression testing for resolved defects. 
  • Automation Testing: 
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. 
  • Automate repetitive test cases to improve testing efficiency and coverage. 
  • Maintain and enhance automation scripts as application features evolve. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: 
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. 
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to represent QA perspectives. 
  • Provide clear and concise testing status reports and quality metrics to stakeholders. 
  • Performance and Security Testing: 
  • Conduct performance testing to evaluate system behavior under load and stress conditions. 
  • Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards. Continuous Improvement: 
  • Identify opportunities for improving QA processes and implement best practices. 
  • Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends.

    Required Skills and Expertise: 
    Technical Skills: 
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. 
  • Experience with manual testing, including black-box, white-box, and exploratory testing. 
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG). 
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured. 
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail). 
  • Basic understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries for data validation. 
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git). 
  • Soft Skills: 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. 
  • Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. 
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). 
  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent.
