Role: Cloud and API Security Project Manager

Functional Area:Digital Infrastructure (DI), Security

Location: Remote USA Based – EST Time zone working hours required

The Opportunity:

Assist our client to Manage an ongoing project to drive solutions and remediate vulnerabilities in Cloud and API concerns, such as container security, API security, and cloud visibility.

Selected candidate will be required to:

Move into an already running project and take over the day to day management of the work activities for security

Run daily stand-ups to manage work, identify dependencies, ensure follow-ups are understood and acted upon, and resolve barriers

Manage work in the Jira scrum board to ensure that it is accurately reflecting status so that management has a correct view from the dashboarding of the sprint’s progress

Have a clear understanding of cloud infrastructure and security concepts as well as API security concepts

Have a general working knowledge of Agile

To succeed, this role’s responsibilities would involve:

Proven and extensive experience working in cloud infrastructure projects including managing architects and engineers

A background working in Jira for managing project work

Understand and interact with the roles of other organizational areas such as Center of Excellence (COE) for Cloud, Architecture groups, Incident Response teams, etc.

Understanding and directing work in cloud infrastructure container services such as AWS EKS, OpenShift, etc.

Understand the purpose and role of third party cloud security tools such as Prisma Cloud Defender and how policies, workflows, and detections work to drive the team to success on their security tasks

Knowledge or experience with CI/CD

Logical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation, and communication skills with strong drive for results

Interest for Cloud technologies, AWS and Azure cloud and will to constantly grow, learn and enhancing the skills in this area
