    Data Architect – Azure | 10–15 Years of Experience | Preferred Onsite (DMV Area)
    We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires a deep technical foundation in modern data architecture, hands-on expertise with Azure data services, and the ability to drive strategic data initiatives across the enterprise.
    Key Responsibilities:
    •  Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Fabric.
    •  Lead the design of data models, data pipelines (ETL/ELT), and data warehouses to support analytical workloads and enterprise reporting.
    •  Ensure data solutions are aligned with best practices in data governance, security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
    •  Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data architectures.
    •  Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
    •  Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Azure data architecture, tools, and technologies.
    •  Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and architecture patterns to meet evolving business and technical needs.
     
    Required Qualifications:
    •  10–13 years of overall experience in data architecture and engineering, with at least 5+ years working on Microsoft Azure data platforms.
    •  Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, ADF, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Azure Fabric, and modern data lake/data warehouse architectures.
    •  In-depth knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and big data technologies (Spark, Delta Lake, etc.).
    •  Demonstrated experience with data security, access controls, and compliance frameworks.
    •  Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    •  Proven track record of leading architecture design sessions and delivering large-scale data solutions.
    •  Ability to work onsite in the DMV area (preferred).
