Job requirements

Location: Novi, MI – Open to remote work with occasional travel to Novi as required by the client

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, understand, and document business requirements.

Analyze large datasets stored in PostgreSQL and derive actionable business insights.

Write advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

Work closely with data engineers, developers, and BI teams to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.

Support data quality checks, validations, and conduct root cause analysis of data-related issues.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.

Assist in developing data dictionaries and maintaining business glossaries.

Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), troubleshooting, and validation of database-related features and reports.

Demonstrate proficiency in PostgreSQL, including complex SQL query writing and a solid understanding of database structures.

Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.

Understand data modeling concepts and work effectively with relational databases.

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience or strong working knowledge of Snowflake, PostgreSQL, SQL, and Tableau.

Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R is a plus.

Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS RDS for PostgreSQL) is an added advantage.
