  • Location: Novi, MI – Open to remote work with occasional travel to Novi as required by the client

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, understand, and document business requirements.
  • Analyze large datasets stored in PostgreSQL and derive actionable business insights.
  • Write advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Work closely with data engineers, developers, and BI teams to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Support data quality checks, validations, and conduct root cause analysis of data-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Assist in developing data dictionaries and maintaining business glossaries.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), troubleshooting, and validation of database-related features and reports.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in PostgreSQL, including complex SQL query writing and a solid understanding of database structures.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Understand data modeling concepts and work effectively with relational databases.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or strong working knowledge of Snowflake, PostgreSQL, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS RDS for PostgreSQL) is an added advantage.
