As a Senior Netezza Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse solutions. You will ensure high performance, data integrity, and availability of mission-critical systems that support business operations across the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Netezza-based data warehouse objects (tables, views, stored procedures, scripts).
Design, build, and optimize DataStage ETL jobs and DB2 SQL queries for complex data transformations.
Perform database administration tasks including schema design, access control, and system monitoring.
Support database backup, recovery, and migration activities.
Ensure compliance with security and data governance guidelines for sensitive information.
Partner with IT and business teams to deliver accurate and timely data solutions.
Analyze logs, troubleshoot performance issues, and recommend enhancements.
Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
5–8 years of strong experience in Netezza, DataStage, DB2, and SQL.
Proficient in database performance monitoring and optimization.
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Solid problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
